Cheap or home made Will - is it worth taking the risk?

Would you believe that the making of a Will is still governed by fairly ancient legislation – section 9 Wills Act 1837.

Section 9 provides that the Will:

  1. must be in writing
  2. must be signed by the person making the Will or by another person in their presence and by their direction
  3. must be signed in the presence of two or more independent witnesses present at the same time and whom must attest and sign the Will.

You would be shocked to learn how often Wills go wrong because these simple steps are not followed causing huge expense and inconvenience and often distress for those effected.
