Watch out for rocketing Land Registry fees!

For the first time since 2009 HM Land Registry fees will increase.

From 31 January 2022 fees for first registrations and for the registration of transfers, leases and mortgages of property will increase by 11% (electronic) and by a massive 21% (postal).

There are other minor changes relating to fees and exemptions.
