Register your Will with Certainty

A common problem that occurs when a loved one passes away is that you may find yourself in a position where you do not know whether a Will was made or whether you have the most up to date Will. Registering your Will could potentially stop your estate being distributed in accordance with an earlier Will or the intestacy provisions.

Certainty is the National Wills Register and is a digital record that lets people know which firm of solicitors are storing a Will.  So far there are over 6 million Wills on the register and with more firms encouraging their clients to register their Wills, the number is rapidly increasing.

Here at mosshaselhurst, we recommend that all clients register their Wills with Certainty. By doing so it allows your loved ones to quickly and easily locate your last Will when you have passed away. According to statistics, 67% of people asked did not know where their parents Wills are located.

Being able to locate a Will ensures that your last wishes are respected and that your estate is distributed to the beneficiaries of your choosing as opposed to the tens of thousands of estates that are distributed in accordance with the intestacy rules.

It is important to us at mosshaselhurst that our client’s legacies are protected and that they have peace of mind that their affairs are in order.
