ANNUAL LEAVE RECORDS
The Employment Rights Bill contains a new provision requiring Employers to keep adequate records for 6 years relating to annual leave and holiday pay for all workers, including those working irregular hours and part time workers. Failure to comply will be a criminal offence punishable with a fine, enforceable by the new Fair Work Agency also being created by the Bill.
The Bill is expected to become law in July 2025 although the majority of provisions are not expected to come into force until 2026.
