CHANGES TO RENTERS REFORM PLANS

MPs will today debate the  Renters (Reform) Bill in Parliament

However, following extensive representations by the National Residential Landlords Association,  the Government announced on 20 October 2023 that :-

• it will NOT  proceed with the abolition of the Section 21 ‘no fault’ repossession until improvements to the Court system have been made.
• a new ground for possession for student landlords will be introduced to protect the yearly nature of the student housing market.
