LANDLORDS/LETTING AGENTS – INFORMATION SHEET DEADLINE 31.5.2026

The Renters’ Rights Act Information Sheet is a 4 page guide produced by the Government explaining how tenancies may be affected by the changes introduced by the Renters’ Rights Act 2025.

It must be provided if the tenancy:

• is an assured or assured shorthold tenancy
• was created before 1 May 2026
• has a wholly or partly written record of terms (including a written tenancy agreement)

A copy of the exact PDF produced by the Government must be given to every tenant named on the tenancy agreement and must be provided to tenants by :

• printing a hard copy, which is posted or given to the tenants by hand
• sending the PDF electronically as an attachment

If the Information Sheet is not be provided by 31 May 2026 this  could result  in a fine being issued of up to £7,000.
