Stamp Duty Holiday Deadline 31 March 2025

At mosshaselhurst, our Conveyancing team is working hard to complete as many sales and purchases as possible prior to the end of the stamp duty holiday on 31 March 2025.

Experts are predicting that it is unlikely that there will  be any announcement of an extension of the deadline in the Chancellor’s Spring Statement

There is cause for optimism in the market after 31st March. It is reported that the number of sales being agreed is 9% higher than at this time in 2024, and the number of new sellers is now 8% ahead of this time last year. Both are positive signs for continued market activity after the anticipated stamp duty increases at the start of April.
