Here at mosshaselhurst we pride ourselves on supporting local charities and are proud to be supporting  St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice.

Our staff members donate on a weekly basis by participating in a dress down Friday and by also taking part in sponsored events.  The Wills team have recently taken part in the Free Wills Week Campaign and we are proud to say that we raised a grand total of £2,300 for the hospice.

St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice is a local Hospice based in Winsford and is an integral part of the local community. St Luke’s offers a wide range of services to support people living with life limiting illnesses. Their focus is on caring, so whether you go to them for end of life care,  complementary therapies, or counselling support you will be entering  a positive environment, with professionals who support your individual needs.

At St Luke’s, they believe the most important privilege any person can have is the opportunity to comfort and support one’s fellow human beings in their hour of need. This spirit of service at St Luke’s extends not only to the patients, but also to family and friends, and is not restricted by income, class, creed or gender.

Like many charities, St Luke’s rely on legacies for their income.  Anyone can make a gift to charity in their Will and this is known as a charitable legacy. According to a recent report around £150 of every £1,000 received by charities comes from legacies left in peoples Wills.
