Brexit Concerns Blamed For 1 Million Lost Home Sales

Since the announcement of the referendum result in 2016, a high percentage of British home buyers have postponed moving home due to Brexit uncertainty.

After a survey was carried out the results show that Go Compare found Brexit and the affect it will have on the UK economy is the largest influencing factor in discouraging people from buying a property.

Figures show that 937,000 people have or would delay moving home until a definitive outcome is reached

Housing affordability and a lack of funds remains a concern for a third of respondents. 14% of respondents were deterred by the price of property in their preferred area and 12%, concerned about their job
