DEALING WITH DEBT 

We appreciate that dealing with your own debt can be a very stressful and worrying time but it is not something that you need to face alone.

Agencies such as Citizens Advice, StepChange, National Debtline or Business Debtline are available to offer free advice and support

You may not have to pay a debt  if :-

• It’s been 6 years or more since you made a payment or were in contact with the creditor
• There was a problem when you signed the agreement eg if undue influence was applied when signing or the agreement was not clear
• The creditor did not adequately check you could afford the repayments when you signed the agreement
