Employment Law Changes April 2020 – ‘Good work plan’

A number of important changes to Employment Law are due to come into force on 6th April 2020 as part of the government’s ‘Good work Plan’.

Employees will be entitled to receive a written statement of main terms no later than the commencement date of their employment. This will include key terms of employment such as pay and annual leave entitlement. Employers currently have two months from an employee commencing employment to provide them with the written statement of main terms; this period is removed from 6th April 2020.
